About Kristen Sukalac
Kristen challenges clients to apply the concept of innovation to organizational management, stakeholder relations and customer orientation, creating value through design thinking.
One of fewer than 1200 people in the world to earn the Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) credential from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Kristen is a strategic communicator and professional affairs specialist with extensive experience working on food and agriculture issues. She has been a Consulting Partner at Prospero & Partners since 2008. Prior to that, she spent eight years at the International Fertilizer Industry Association (IFA) and two years at what is now called CropLife International. In both roles, she was heavily involved in the industry’s international relations and has been an active delegate to numerous high-level international policy meetings, including the World Food Summit:five years later, the UN Commission on Sustainable Development, the Africa Fertilizer Summit and the World Summit on Sustainable Development, where she spoke on behalf of Business & Industry during the ministerial debate on agriculture. She started my career as a European affairs researcher in Brussels.
Kristen is currently pursuing an Executive Doctorate of Business Administration (EDBA) from the Université Paris – Dauphine, where her research focuses on the sense-making process around emerging agricultural technologies. She holds a bilingual Master’s of Arts / Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium specialized in the politics and administration of the European Union. Her first degree is a Bachelor of Arts (Summa cum laude) from the University of Pittsburgh with majors in French and political science and a certificate in West European Studies. She is a US citizen, but grew up on the Canadian border, and have lived in Belgium and France. She has worked and lived in multinational and multicultural contexts since 1991.
