The site contains copyrighted material and other proprietary information, including, but not limited to, logos, graphics, photographs, functionality and the selection and arrangement of content that are the exclusive property of Prospero or its licensors and is protected by Belgian and international copyright laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. (See the section on "Use of Prospero Content" for information on content covered by Creative Commons licenses.)
The trademarks, service marks, designs, and logos (collectively, the "Trademarks") displayed on the Site are the registered and unregistered Trademarks of Prospero and its licensors. You agree that you will not refer to or attribute any information to Prospero or its licensors in any public medium (e.g., press release, websites) for advertising or promotion purposes, or for the purpose of informing or influencing any third party and that you will not use or reproduce any Trademark of, or imply any endorsement by or relationship with, Prospero or its licensors.
Prospero hereby grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license effective immediately to access and download, display, and print one copy of the copyrighted content and functionality displayed on the Site (the "Site Content") on any single computer solely for your internal, personal or business use, provided that you do not modify the Site Content in any way and that you retain all copyright and other proprietary notices displayed on the Site Content. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, distribute, transmit, post, or disclose copyrighted Site Content without Prospero's prior written consent.
If there is no indication of a Creative Commons license, assume that Site Content is covered by traditional copyright and contact us for written permission to reproduce or otherwise use that content. Permission is generally granted for educational, non-commercial uses.
Where the copyright on such material is held by a third party that has licensed the content to Prospero or otherwise given us permission to use it, we will provide the contact details of the copyright holder if we can.
Most of the blog articles, infographics, white papers, slide presentations, etc. published on this Site are covered by Creative Commons licenses, and this will be explicitly indicated on the content where applicable.
Feel free to share the content covered by Creative Commons licenses as long as you respect the terms of the relevant Creative Commons license and the guidelines for attribution below. As long as the guidelines for attribution are respected, you may reference or quote up to 75 words of textual content (facts, figures, quotes, etc.) in your own blog articles, presentations, documents. Beyond that amount, please link back to the original content rather than reproducing it. If you copy our content in full, even with attribution, you will hurt our (and your) search engine optimization results. So unfortunately, you cannot republish in full our documents (blog posts, PDFs, PPTs, DOCs, etc.). We will try to share them in formats that allow for robust linking and embedding.
We generally (but not always, so please double-check) apply the Creative Commons license BY-NC-SA, which means:
• You must attribute the source (and not state or imply that the work is yours);
• You cannot make money from the content that we share with you at no cost;
• You must share our content on similar terms to those under which we have shared it with you.
- Give credit where credit is due: attribute Prospero as the source.
- Link to the original Prospero source:
- For blog articles, include the permalink to the article in question;
- For specific pieces of content (images, videos, etc.), link to the content where it is housed (e.g. on the Prospero site or on our account on a third-party picture or video-sharing platform);
- When you have to complete a form to obtain the content, please link to the page containing the form.
When you provide information or a comment through our website or related social media services, you acknowledge and agree that Prospero shall own and have the unrestricted right to use, publish, and otherwise exploit any and all information that you post or otherwise publish on the Site or related social media services in postings, survey responses, and otherwise, and you hereby waive any claims against Prospero for any alleged or actual infringements of any rights of privacy or publicity, moral rights, or rights of attribution in connection with Prospero's use and publication of such submissions. Users are prohibited from posting or otherwise publishing on the Site and Prospero's related social media services any materials that (a) are threatening, libelous, defamatory, or obscene; (b) would constitute, or that encourage conduct that would constitute, a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate law; (c) infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third parties; (d) contain a computer virus or other destructive element; (e) contain advertising; or (f) constitute or contain false or misleading statements. Prospero does not and cannot review all information posted to the Site by users and is not responsible for such information. However, Prospero reserves the right to refuse to post and the right to remove any information that violates the conditions outlined in this paragraph.
Prospero prohibits the posting of any information that infringes or violates the copyright rights and/or other intellectual property rights (including rights of privacy and publicity) of any person or entity. If you believe that your intellectual property right (or such a right that you are responsible for enforcing) is infringed by any content on the Site, please contact Prospero, giving a written statement that contains: (a) identification of the copyrighted work and/or intellectual property right claimed to have been infringed; (b) identification of the allegedly infringing material on the Site that is requested to be removed; (c) your name, address, and daytime telephone number (including the country code), and an e-mail address if available; (d) a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted work and/or exercise of the intellectual property right is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law; (e) a statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that the signatory is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the right that is allegedly infringed; and (f) the signature of the intellectual property right owner or someone authorized on the owner's behalf to assert infringement of the right. Prospero will remove any posted submission that infringes the copyright or other intellectual property right of any person upon receipt of such a statement. Many jurisdictions provide significant penalties for submitting such a statement falsely. Repeatedly submitting material that violates the provisions of this paragraph could lead Prospero to block the concerned user(s) from submitting further posts.
However, if a User notices that a link leads to material that is illegal or otherwise violates the provisions of the section "User-Generated Content", Prospero may delete the link after having been duly informed of the content.
Every effort is made to provide accurate and timely information on the Site.
